Ethel M. Nelson P.T.,CST is the President-CEO of Alternative Solutions for Health (ASFH), LLC which most recently opened Nov. 2007, in Chambersburg, PA. This wellness center is an expansion of the formerly Nelson's Therapy that offered alternative services. ASFH offers the public 7 CERAGEM tables to use for their own personal wellness program, fee for services. Other services include ION CLEANSE foot de-tox bath, bodywork primarily of CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY, but also visceral manipulation, Polarity Therapy and Zero Balancing contacts. This office offers bodywork for prevention and wellness in health as well as support of those seeking assistance for physical symptoms of chronic pain that "never" seem to go away.
Ethel is a Certified Teaching Assistant with the Upledger Institute and offers classes in ShareCare, Overview and Introduction to CranioSacral Therapy.
Sound healing is offered based upon the work of Sharry Edwards, director of Sound Health of Albany, Ohio. Vocal profiling and sound presentation are part of the facilitation of the bodies innate healing ability. A 30 second voice sample can indicate the disharmony in the body and then sound is introduced to the body to achieve harmony and balance, lending to improved health and well being. Philosophy and Comments
I facilitate an individual to heal from their inner core with manual techniques, dialogue and visualization and the connection with the Divine to connect into their soul components. I studied Shamanic work and appreciate the power of the "drum voice" and sound as an adjunct to healing when appropriate.
Most recently, my clients are offered the old science of a "new technology" with the CERAGEM MASTER therapeutic massage table that is used in conjuction with their manual therapy session-(www.ceragem.com) The effects of the far-infrared light, the deep heating of the jade rollers and the massage effect offer even a more profound release of their structures during their bodywork session.
My office also offers whole body detoxification with the Ion Cleanse foot bath for a 20-30 min. treatment. This is by appointment only. $30 for single detox; committment of 10-14 sessions at $27 each.
Another exciting service offered is working in cooperation with Results Physical Therapy and Fitness Center, I can offer sessions of body work in the water medium of their heated rehab pool. This is a fee for service "maintenance" support for health and wellness and is not re-imbursed by 3rd party payment. Current price is $75/hr- appointments only.

CERAGEM MASTER 3500
The Cerage table is a massage and heating device that relieves pressure on the spinal cord or "the core" of the body to restore the flow of Qi (energy) and improve circulation to clean the body of toxins. The heated jade rollers massage, stretch and mobilize the individual vertebral segments of the spine and offer a deep pressure massage at the same time. The heating element is far infrared light that travels along the spine in addition to carbon panels that distribute deep penetrating heat to the legs and trunk of the body. External adapters permit individual placement of the penetrating heat onto other specific body regions.
PENETRATING HEAT
The Ceragem is a therapeutic/massaging bed that is based on the principles of oriental science. It combines the main techniques of Eastern and Western medicine: massage, acupressure, acupuncture, moxibustion and far-infrared rays. The Ceragem should not be perceived as a temporary measure which treats, controls or diminishes only the symptoms of a particular condition. It does and will (if we let it) transform a condition at its roots. Once we feel healed and improved, we focus on maintenance and prevention of any further condition. Regular sessions for the spine, detoxifying, maintain the blood and proper Qi circulation results in our bodies being strong, strengthened immune system and able to prevent future health imbalances.
